Renovation of the piles of the Southern Railway Bridge 2011-2013
During the reinforcement of the river piers of the Southern Railway Danube Bridge and the addition of reinforced concrete panels to the piers, the construction schedule was repeatedly overruled by high water levels.
Our industrial divers carried out underwater cutting, reinforced concrete installation, formwork and concreting during the reconstruction works. They were assisted by our Poseidon diving vessel, our towboat Zsombor, our TS 40 barge equipped with a crane and a mooring barge. The environmental factors and the condition of the bridge piers were both challenging from a diving point of view, but in the end the project was a success.
